About Me

I grew up in the bay area and studied at Santa Clara University, where I earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology.  After becoming licensed, I discovered the work of David Burns, creator of TEAM-CBT, an advanced form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I began attending his weekly training group at Stanford and quickly realized how effective and powerful this type of therapy can be. Since then, I have become passionate about TEAM and now assist David in a variety of trainings, workshops and conferences to help train other therapists how to use this model. I am currently a certified Advanced Level 4 TEAM Therapist and Trainer. Learn more about TEAM here

I am also in the process of becoming certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) psychotherapy which is an evidenced-based treatment for people who have experienced trauma or other disturbing experiences. In my practice, I combine TEAM and EMDR therapy to provide people with the ability to focus on the present while also having the option to work through their past to create long-lasting change.  Learn about EMDR here

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents experiencing depression, sadness, worry, social anxiety, trauma, life transitions and low self-esteem. I definitely have a soft spot for working with teens and love helping them navigate such a unique time period in their lives. I also specialize in working with individuals who have a dual diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder and another mental health diagnosis.

I am passionate about providing high quality therapy and strive to create a caring, nonjudgmental, positive environment for my clients.

In addition to my clinical work, I also offer presentations for other agencies, schools, and mental health professionals who are looking to expand their knowledge of TEAM-CBT in the treatment of anxiety, depression, habits/addictions, and relationship issues.
