Video Therapy

I offer telehealth video therapy for anyone located within California, Nevada, and Oregon as a convenient alternative option to in-person therapy.  Telehealth video therapy may be a good fit for those who have barriers to access effective in-person therapy or who live outside of the area of my local practice in Mountain View, CA.

What is video therapy?

Video therapy is similar to in-person therapy, but performed by connecting with each other using an online platform (RingCentral, HIPPA Compliant).  In video therapy sessions, my clients and I are able to see one another, communicate and collaborate using a variety of virtual methods. As a video therapy client, you would receive a private and secure link that is unique to you, which you click to join using a laptop or smartphone when our session begins.

What are the benefits of video therapy?

The major benefits of video therapy include flexible access and convenience for clients. Video conferencing has advanced so much in the past few years that therapists are able to provide high quality therapy without needing to be in the same room. Some clients may prefer telehealth video therapy over traditional in-person therapy due to feeling less intimidated by the idea of visiting a therapy office. There has also been research done that shows evidence that video therapy has the same positive results as in-person therapy!

Is video therapy a good fit for everybody?

While video therapy is a good fit for many people, it may not be a good fit for everyone, specifically people who are struggling with active suicidal ideation, self-harm, or are in need of crisis services.

Is video therapy right for me?

Schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me to determine if telehealth video therapy is a good fit for us.  When booking, consider having a private space where you can speak freely, verify stable internet connectivity, and the ability to be flexible when technical issues invariably occur.
